Pahiyas Art Society joins in the celebration of the National Arts Month 2023 with an art fair at the Ali Mall in Araneta City, Quezon City. Organized in collaboration with other artists from Metro Manila and nearby provinces, Converging Hues aims to converge these young artists and mount an exhibit of artworks with a wide range of subjects – from abstract to realism, in oil and acrylic to watercolor, in colorful and vibrant hues.
12 individual artists and groups will be participating in the first event of the group in 2023. Original Filipino art and sculptures will be on display and sale in very affordable prices from February 24-26, 2023. A bazaar of art merchandise and products and delicacies from Lucban, Quezon will complement the art fair. Side events featuring art workshops, live sketching and a mini concert are also lined up during the three-day event.
Artworks, tote bags, food vouchers and souvenirs are up for grabs in the raffle draw. A buyer is entitled to a raffle ticket for every P200 worth of artwork or merchandise bought during the event. Prizes will be drawn daily before the mall closes.
Converging Hues was made possible through the generosity of the J. Amado Araneta Foundation, the social development arm of the Araneta Group which owns and operates Araneta City including Ali Mall and the Gateway Gallery. Pahiyas Art Society also partnered withe Lucban Tourism Office in the aim of promoting also the Pahiyas Festival in Lucban, where the art group originated and based.
