Join us as we experience our first Filipino festival in the Philippines as a British couple. Today we are in Czar’s home province of Kalibo, Aklan for Ati-Atihan 2023. The first one in 2 years! Today we show you our first impressions of Ati-Atihan & filipino festivals. We started at Kalibo’s main plaza where we were hit by the enormous rumble of countless drumming. We were greeted with smiles, alcohol and face paint. We could feel the vibrations of of all there drums in our chest! Our first impression of Ati-Atihan and our first Filipino festival was its absolutely CRAZY. It was amazing to fully immerse ourselves in the culture of the Filipino festivals & Aklanons.
