Mobile Photo Contest
Capture any of your favorite hang-out, food hub or restaurant in Lucban, Quezon using only your mobile phone or tablet.
The contest is open to all regular students ages 13 to 18 enrolled in public and private schools in Lucban.
What are the Details of the Contest?
1. Only one (1) entry is allowed per contestant;
2. Must be an original work of the contestant and not any of the following;
submitted to or won in any other contests; have been published in print or online.
3. Acceptable photos are: Photo captured using mobile phones – android, iphone or tablet; High Dynamic Range from several exposures; Black and white;
4. Not acceptable photos: Photos captured by film camera and digicam; Photos which utilized photo tools and effects fisheye lens, stitched panoramas; Photo manipulation.
5. Allowable photo post-processing: Cropping; Color enhancements; Shadows and enhancements.
6. Photo entry must not contain any of the following: Copyrighted material/s to include artworks and other photos; Date stamps, watermarks or any text on the image;
7. Photo must be in JPEG format of 300 dpi and 10 MB maximum file size;
8. Entries should include the photo’s metadata (phone camera maker and model, aperture value, exposure and other info).
9. Contestants must agree and comply with the official rules of the contest;
10. Contestants must register and submit their entry by clicking the button below.
How to submit Photo Entry?
1. Contestants are required to provide the following information upon submission of entry:
o Full Name
o Age
o Birthdate
o Home Address
o Mobile Number
o E-mail Address
o Name of School
o Year (first year, 2nd year, etc)
o Photo Title
o Photo Description: (1-2 sentences describing the photograph and its relevance to the theme)
o Date the photo was captured
o Name of the location the photo was captured: (ex: Marcos Tigla Park, Buddy’s, etc.)
o Mobile phone used (e.g. Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, iPhone, etc.)
2. Filename of the photo must be in the following format: “Full-Name_Photo-Title”.
3. Registration and submission of entry is from January 18 to February 10, 2023.
• Only registered entries will be accepted.
• Entries with wrong or incomplete information and format will be disqualified.
Criteria for Judging
From the Top 10 finalist, the judges will choose the Top 3 winners on February 10, 2023 with the following criteria:
40% – Content and Relevance to the Theme
30% – Artistic Value and Communication Potential of the Image
30% – Technical Excellence and Quality
100% – TOTAL
Prizes
1st prize: P1,500 cash + gift
2nd prize: P1,000 cash + gift
3rd prize: P500 cash + gift
Winning photos will be published in the 2nd issue of ARTventures Magazine on February 14, 2023.
Photos of the winners and all contestants will also be posted in our website and social media pages.
Awarding of Prizes:
Announcement and awarding of winners will be on February 11, 2023, 2:00pm at the Pahiyas Art Gallery.
