pulilan fiesta is a philippine renowned town fiesta in honor of san isidro de labrador, patron saint of farmers, for good harvest. the theme of the fiesta is to parade the best of the philippine beast of burden, the carabao, without which farming and toiling the land would be difficult. the carabaos, ornately decorated, are paraded by their handlers around town, complete with glitz and parade, and culminates in front of the parish church, wherein the carabao is made to kneel honoring the patron saint, hence the title, kneeling carabao of pulilan. it is a grand affair for the town and is attended by multitude of tourists alike, who would like to witness the event of the kneeling carabaos. it is celebrated annually every may 14. pictured here is the ancestor of recreational vehicles, pollution free he he he.
