A timelapse demonstration how to paint a sunset seascape (coastline of Fife in Scotland close to where filming was done for the tv show Outlander)with pan pastels. Suitable for beginners. Using neutral coloured pastel paper by daler rowney, I show how I use a limited palette and make up sponges, as well as sofft tools especially designed for use with pan pastels. My best tip when buying sofft tools, is buy plenty of replacement sponge tips. They have a tendency to get damaged easily especially on rough paper.
